Richard Wilde is a legend in the worlds of advertising and visual design. He is an Art Director’s Club Hall of Fame Laureate, a One Club Hall of Fame Laureate, and chair of the Advertising and Design departments at the prestigious School of Visual Arts in New York City. His book The Process: A New Foundation in Art and Design was published by Laurence King Publishing in June, 2015. Nutter Media was brought on that month to handle the PR campaign for it.

Based on a visual creativity course Wilde teaches at SVA, The Process was not an easy sell to the media. Making the pitch less about a book based on an undergraduate college course and more about the fundamentals of the creative process, Nutter Media was able to get Wilde a feature length interview pegged to The Process on the Huffington Post’s Arts vertical, on to high-traffic visual design sites such as LogoDesignLove and Brand New, into graphic design industry media such as Graphic Design USA, and a full review in the prestigious international advertising trade magazine, Lurzer’s Archive.

“Christopher devises a PR strategy that clearly corresponds to the established vision that he will undertake in a most uncompromising way. As the PR plan unfolds, he seizes any opportunity that presents itself. He also makes you feel that you are his only client. He put The Process on the map.”
